The Board of Directors of Project BEST recognizes the enhanced value of post-secondary education as a critical component of economic development in the Upper Ohio Valley. In keeping with its traditional philosophy of supporting those organizations that provide a significant contribution to the economic development of the Upper Ohio Valley, Project BEST established a scholarship fund with post-secondary educational institutions in the Upper Ohio Valley.
Amount of Scholarship
Project BEST contributes, on an annual basis, a scholarship fund in the amount of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) to each participating post-secondary institution.
Eligible Post-Secondary Institutions
The following post-secondary institutions, because of their territory service area, shall each be considered eligible participants to receive the Scholarship Fund on an annual basis, as determined by the Board of Directors:
Franciscan University of Steubenville
Eastern Gateway Community College

Project BEST distributed $12,500 this year to seven area colleges including Belmont College, Franciscan University of Steubenville, Eastern Gateway Community College, Ohio University Eastern, West Liberty University, West Virginia Northern Community College and Wheeling Jesuit University. The Project BEST Scholarship program is dedicated to growth and development of the construction trades in the Upper Ohio Valley.
